Throttle delay or lag when cornering

My 2014 Civic Coupe LX seems to have a throttle issue when cornering. It has done this since day 1, in all weather situations, with and without a/c running, regardless of shifter position (D, S, L). I have had to resort to left foot braking to keep the rpm up while taking a normal traffic light corner to the right. Will replacing the computer chip with an aftermarket performance chip eliminate this issue? Is there a software patch from the dealer that will fix this? Should I just accept that my LX is not a performance car and live with it? Driving in Dallas traffic can be quite dicey if your car does not get up and go when turning. I've had a few instances where I need power now, and the car just laughs at me as hesitates. (insert clip, Jurassic Park - Must Go Faster, Independence Day - Must Go Faster)

Thanks in advance for the help.

(I know there is another thread on this, but this title is more searchable for the issue. )

Turn the traction control off and then see how it reacts in corners.
