That car is a little over 3hrs from me so would be tough to go up there just to look at it. I would need to sell my SI to really get interested/excited about purchasing another car.

We shall see what happens.....someone else hit me up from the craigslist add, just asked is the car was available.

The Mitsubishi dealer that I got my first Evo from had the most beautiful FBP FA5 with leather and navigation. The paint on that car was flawless. I actually sent pics to Matt to see if he might be interested in the car before I sold him mine. The car was going for $18,900, but they dropped the price to $15,000 and it sold right away. Really nice car with 30k miles on it. I know it is a hassle to try and buy a car that you cannot see in person or drive. I looked at used Evos all over the US before deciding to buy new. You really take a chance buying a used car when you cannot see the car firsthand.

^ It is Jared. There was something very special about owning an 8th Gen/6th Gen Si and being on 8th Gen Civic with all the great people that were there back in the day. Sadly, times change and people and their cars do too. The great thing about this site is that it is filled with enthusiasts who like cars of all persuasions. This site is my idea of a community, a place where friends meet discuss a host of issues. There is something very special about a car forum in its infancy. The people are tight knit and everyone knows each other very well.

I've had my FG2 for over four years now. I don't see myself getting rid of it in the foreseeable future. It brought me to Orlando, Florida all the way from my hometown in Elkhart, Indiana in 2007 (1100 miles), and I've had many journeys since then. All of my experiences that have been a direct result of my car will always be a part of me and something I will never forget.

Yes, we are all like the people at the bar in "Cheers". And Jared, I am glad that you still have your Si. Had Matt not been so effective in wooing me to sell my car, I would still be owing it. I just hope that I don't have the kinds of dreams I still have about selling my '69 427 Corvette back in 1974. I loved that car so much and I was soooo stupid in selling it. Every now and then I have dreams where I have a chance to buy the car again. I bet I will have the same dreams about my Si, no matter how nice a car the Evo is.
