i think that white wire is the positive wire to one of the front speakers . notice the other white wire with the black stipe ? thats negative for one of the front speakers .

whites and grey are fronts

purple and green are rears

the black plug is to the after market radio and the grey one goes to the factory harness but whats confusing me right now is that why are the speaker wires on the grey plug converted to rca's ???

those should be connected to the speaker wires on the black plug by color match then the preouts feed the signal to the amps .

what it looks like to me is that he wont even need to use the speaker wire on the black radio plug then since those rcs's are gonna feed the signal from preouts to factory speakers then what do you think mr @squiggy just tape them up right ??

I just bought a Pioneer AVIC-6000NEX and I was wondering how your systems sounds after the upgrade (assuming they use similar sound processing). I'm not an audiophile, but I like my sound to be good. I actually like the stock premium sound, that why I'm asking how it sounds thru the factory amp and factory speakers. Thanks!

The harness in his photo looks like it was designed to plug an aftermarket stereo into the factory wiring to use the factory amp, as others have mentioned. Should not be hard to figure out the wiring for the speakers, remote turn on, etc. How will it sound? It will sound awful because of the factory amp and factory speakers. If he is keeping the factory amp and factory speakers, it will sound exactly the same as the stock head unit. He would be better off using the new stereo's built-in amp and running four new speakers. What was the point of buying a new head unit when the Civic already offers Bluetooth, Aux, iPod, Pandora, MP3/AAC CD playback, etc?

I wouldn't imagine it would sound a whole lot different. I don't think it would be worth the trouble of losing the factory steering wheel controls and audio options on the I-MID screen. I know the steering wheel controls can be partially integrated, but they'll never be as good as stock. PITA for no reason IMO

I put my factory radio back in had a Pioneer AVX DVD in there unless you plan on upgrading all your speakers going aftermarket is kinda pointless.
