so amazon sent me 5w-30 instead of 0w-20.. would there be any problems using the 5w-30 instead? its royal purple if that matters.

My 10k service, Honda used bulk oil "Mobile 1" ...... 0 w 20

I use 5W30 and nothing is wrong with that.

"0" wt. allows for faster lube at start-up(which is the biggest wear factor).

"20" wt. allows for better gas mileage(also is probably taken into account in the engineering of the engine for proper flow rate).

OR.... They just found that the 20wt. gives better mpg(and 30wt. doesn't hurt anything).

Looking on walmart.com I see 0W20 and 5W30 are roughly the same price, similar situation in Canadian stores (Canadian Tire), checked Mobil 1 0 W 20 and 5 W 30. Considering Honda recommends 0 W 20 I wonder why not stick with that. Less start up wear and better gas mileage.
Unless I am missing a benefit I cannot think of. Price does not seem to be a reason.
