Cruise control - is there something wrong here?

Hey guys, I just recently traded in my 2011 Civic SI for a 2013 Civic Hybrid... big change in terms of how these cars drive. Basically reason for switch is because I got new job that requires me to drive highway during rush hour and I got sick of driving stick and filling up so frequently.

Anyways with the 2013 Civic Hybrid, the cruise control on this car is horrible! What the heck is going on here? It can't maintain speed at all, it will drop 10mph and then downshift and gain speed extremely slowly and then it goes to 5mph over set speed, then decelerates rapidly. This is extremely strange. The cruise in my 2011 SI was PERFECT. Maintained speed within a couple MPH, let off gas whenever I went downhill and gave more gas on uphill. I have also driven a 2009 Odyssey and it was great as well. Is there some adjustment for this? I have basically given up on using cruise for now as the functionality is ridiculous.

Should I take it to the dealer? Is this just how the cruise is on these hybrids?
Thanks in advance.

The cruise on my Si works fine. No complaints.

The only thing I found odd was that it doesn't disengage when the clutch is used. That is apparently normal though.

Got it. I just wanted to let you know how the cruise works on another '13.

I'm sure someone with a hybrid will jump in to let you know if yours is normal behavior.

On the hybrid, just like my EX it works differently when in Eco mode. It will lag when going up and down hills to save fuel. If you want fast response, turn Eco off, but prepare to loose MPG.

Edit: One thing I forgot to think about was the hybrid's CVT, it may contribute to the lag even more when in Eco mode. Just try this: Cruise control in Eco mode, hold the accel. button and observe. Now turn Eco off, hold accel. and car will immediately accelerate.
