hiya everyone i have a m1 abrams weighted shift knob from twm, but i see in a lot of pictures that people have it as low as possible where it looks like just the boot and the knob. Anyone know how to do this ?

Some knobs are countersunk. They allow you to spin the knob on much further than others. I imagine you're referring to something that looks like -

It's a moddication anvil knob,compared to stock it's 2 1/4 lower than stock.if that's too low,I'm sure there are ways to make it higher,I have not missed a shift since its been installed.the biggest thing is the short as hell throw.I give it a 10 out of 10 stars! Low is my taste,and I met it head on,would never go back,my stock shift lever is in a box in my roller,it will stay there.

I also have a billet pro short shifter to make it that low too,

About 1 1/4, maybe slightly less, but real close to that, everybody that's tried it loved it the throw us rediculas how short it is.

Some have used a tap and die set to sink their shift knobs even more.

I plan on doing this to my stock shift lever.
