I did this as a DIY on my 8thGen Si a long long time ago. Small hole to be cut is all in the definition of what you think what a small hole is, lol. I did all the work in my garage and it might have taken 3 hours or so. That's cutting the hole, painting the new bare metal(just touch up paint...
