I removed the battery and put it back in. The shaking and slow acceleration I mentioned did not improve. I think there is a mechanical problem, what do you think?Yea keep us posted
When you say that you removed it, how long did you have it disconnected, and did you touch the neg and positive wires together?removed the battery and put it back in.
When the car was new, it was smooth and would slide like oil. It's not a problem for most people now, but it seems bad to me. Going easy at low speeds puts a strain on the car and on me. In fact, it makes more sense to buy a new car without much hassle, but as I said, the prices are crazy and it's impossible to find a manual car.Its confusing how you think theres something wrong but 2 shops now say its ok. i wonder if your catalytic converter is plugged maybe?or something else in your exhaust. if its bad enough it should throw a code for misfires.
They say there is no problem with the engine mounts. But we can't agree with the mechanics. There is no problem with the car, but all the problems. That's it in short. If it were possible, I would explain the problem face to face next to the vehicle. I need a few more days. Either the whole thing will fall apart or it will get better. You could have the engine mounts looked at to make sure one isn’t cracked. The mounts do let the engine move under load. They also make stiffer engine mounts, but then you run the risk of feeling more vibration transfer to the car. A reputable tuning shop would be able to easily diagnose if a mount is bad.
You mention exhaust… have you been under the car to see if you have an exhaust leak near the catalytic converter or muffler? If a shop was looking at the car, I would surely hope they’d be able to see or hear the leak though.
