Unknown and unexplained problems

Yea keep us posted
I removed the battery and put it back in. The shaking and slow acceleration I mentioned did not improve. I think there is a mechanical problem, what do you think?

When you say that you removed it, how long did you have it disconnected, and did you touch the neg and positive wires together?

I waited for about 5 minutes with the positive and negative terminals connected. The clock reset, a few invisible signs such as "don't forget to fasten your seat belt" started to appear. The stored radio stations were still there. However, there was no difference in the throttle response.

@Janz3n can you think of anything else they could check themselves before taking it to another shop?

only thing i can think of is its misfiring. but i would assume the engine light would be on and probably flashing as well. seems like it needs to be taken to a different shop. you can check the spark plugs but i doubt they will be an issue at that mileage. really need to know if there are codes or not.

I'm thinking of going to another service when I have time.

I went to another service. They said there was nothing wrong. I think the engine's power [i.e. torque. Especially at lower speeds] has decreased, or the transmission is blocking it. It used to do more than 100 km/h [62 mph] in 2nd gear and do it without difficulty. Now it stays at 92 km/h [57 mph]. Same in 1st gear. Day by day I started to get the engine's power at higher speeds. The last service I went to forced the car and the power decreased even more. The power that came at 4500 rpm now comes at 5500 rpm, the maximum engine speed is 6800 rpm anyway. You know how difficult it is to use it in heavy traffic and in the city like this.

Its confusing how you think theres something wrong but 2 shops now say its ok. i wonder if your catalytic converter is plugged maybe?or something else in your exhaust. if its bad enough it should throw a code for misfires.

It would be interesting to see what the car would do on a dyno. I feel like it'd be worth reaching out to these people to ask if there is a reputable dyno tuning shop near you. See what it would cost to have it put on a dyno to see what the horsepower and torque curves look like. At least that would show what it's doing at various rpm's or potentially show some type of issue.

I'll try a few more small things. The exhaust sounds different. Gas comes out muffled and intermittent. I was thinking about a dyno too. But I'm holding off because it could be harmful. I hope to make progress by next weekend at the latest. I also need some competent mechanics. For example Edd China

When I give and let off the gas while the engine is stationary, it doesn't shake too much. However, when I take off in first gear, it leans back quite a bit towards the cabin. I saw this at the last service I went to. They said there was no problem and that this was normal. However, it seemed to me that it was straining too much. Therefore, I think the engine's power is not reaching the transmission and axles properly. What do you think?

When the car was new, it was smooth and would slide like oil. It's not a problem for most people now, but it seems bad to me. Going easy at low speeds puts a strain on the car and on me. In fact, it makes more sense to buy a new car without much hassle, but as I said, the prices are crazy and it's impossible to find a manual car.

You could have the engine mounts looked at to make sure one isn’t cracked. The mounts do let the engine move under load. They also make stiffer engine mounts, but then you run the risk of feeling more vibration transfer to the car. A reputable tuning shop would be able to easily diagnose if a mount is bad.

You mention exhaust… have you been under the car to see if you have an exhaust leak near the catalytic converter or muffler? If a shop was looking at the car, I would surely hope they’d be able to see or hear the leak though.

They say there is no problem with the engine mounts. But we can't agree with the mechanics. There is no problem with the car, but all the problems. That's it in short. If it were possible, I would explain the problem face to face next to the vehicle. I need a few more days. Either the whole thing will fall apart or it will get better.
