Same here.....sort of. I spent a year applying to jobs left and right and got nothing. Obviously I was at my parents for that time and eventually landed a mall job at a little furniture shop that paid something like $24k a year......peanuts. I was there for 2 years? and was a assistant manager at the end of the 2 year and was still making $26k a year and still living at the parents house, lol. Through that job I got my "professional job" at Mearsk Shipping line doing accounting stuff. I almost doubled my pay and thought I needed to reward myself. I bought my 2006 Civic Si brand spanking new. The enabled me to "broaden my horizon" and meet all the internet friends I made through
8thcivic.com (I "met" the webster also,

). So in a way, I was hiding in my parents house for quite some time and then life finally "started". I paid off the car in 18 months and then bought my first house. Market crashed the next year
Long story short.....being a hermit and living at your parents sometimes can be good if you work it "right" and while you feel like life is passing you by, you eventually "catch up". Which you are obviously doing by making solo trips to Japan and getting into your hobbies.
