Warranty Question, Chipping Paint

im working with the dealer to get my front end resprayed. i too have chips all over the car put my hood and bumper are practically white from chips. paint chipping off the primer

I got a letter in the mail about paint warranty issues on 2012-2013 si with my Vin on it . they extends my warranty 7years for paint. Got a bunch of hips already and the door jams are grey on my black car

Do yourself a favor and periodically (once before summer, once before winter months) JetSeal 109 your entire car once there are no more painting issues. Helps the longevity of paint especially if car is kept outdoors. The polymer bonded coating lasts long and reduces chance of sun and chipping damage.

I would check if you are on the VIN list for the paint recall they have. I got a letter as well regarding a paint issue and a 7 year extended warranty for that. Logging in to your Honda account should tell you that as well. In my case i have no issues except a small chip or too on the hood from winter driving.

I'm going to check. Haven't noticed any paint issues but def would like an extended paint warranty if that happens to be the case. Thx

Nice RR Si, liking it. Check out JetSeal 109 though next time you decide to wax. Well worth it. Very protective and last way longer than wax.

Thanks! I really like the blue....but red was all the dealer had! I will def check it out before I wax again. Which will most likely be before winter

A car should not have paint issues without waxing to that degree. Unless you know you put the car through abuse that caused that I would take it to the dealer. The small and many scratches can be argued as abuse but the big ugly stuff in the back looks to me like a defect.

The scratches image almost looks like something was dumped on the car the way the marks are dispersed, but yeah the other stuff looks like sun damage that obliterated the clear coat.
