Texas making it legal to shoot hogs from helicopters

God Bless Texas. The state's house just overwhelmingly passed a law allowing hunters to shoot wild hogs from helicopters. It's called the "pork chopper" bill and it's not redneck silliness. Feral hogs cause $400 million in damage each year.

How did I know before I opened the link that it somehow involved Palin swinging out of a helicopter with a rifle.

I'm guessing the hogs damage crops, although I don't recall reading any specific mention of their ill-doings. I'd like to imagine them going around breaking pickup truck windows, and shoving potatoes into tractor exhaust pipes.

On a side note, I wonder if they taste good with barbeque sauce.
