Help: my car is making a rocking noise every time I let go the gas but when I accelerate it goes away. It's started after I installed bolt ons such as fullrace dp and catback, prl intake, rdx injectors, etc. people say it's maybe a mount but I don't understand why would it would be bad since the car has 30,000 miles. Btw it won't let upload a video

Did you upgrade your rear motor mount? The Dp is probably hitting the subframe. There is not much clearance and the engine moves a lot with the stock mount.

Yea the RMM is a must upgrade for a stock motor and even more so with bolt ons. This would be my first assumption

The mounts not bad, it just can't handle the extra power. The stock mounts are for reducing NVH in the car. They are terrible at holding the engine still. The mounts have probably finally broken in completely and the new parts are taking up more space on small tolerances as it is. Not to say that something couldn't be loose but......

Vids for visual learners:

Stock 9th k24 revving and rocking. This is stock so imagine how much worse it gets with more power and larger parts that have less clearance..... Look at that thing moving around in there on the stock mounts.

And now a car with a SC putting out much more power than stock and a full set of mounts.

8th gen civic.....

Thx guys turns out 4 out of the 5 lugs were loose causing it to make that noise, I'm thinking someone tried to steel the rpf1s since I know for sure I tighten them. I just can't believe the first time I leave it out for a night someone already tried to steel something. Time to buy some lock nuts.

Dam that's not cool man, hope that doesn't happen or isn't the case. Better to be safe than sorry.
