I remember seeing a vid on this, it should have tabs and just pop out with a tool, just like the trim. I believe there is a vid in one of our diy threads where someone runs a wire thru the door and pops off that piece to run it properly, if I can find it I will post it for you
ok sorry it took so long but I just got home, I could not find the vid, however, I already have a BOD of a honda door panel that has that piece in it, and from what I can see it doesn't look like a screw hold it from the other side so it should only have tabs holding it in. Hope this helps!
I have a couple of the trim tools, and have tried to pop it off, and searching around the border but it just doesn't show anything that leads me to which end/side is suppose to pop 1st...... That's the problem with plastic panels, knowing which direction to pop from.... What I need is an inside pic of the part..........
Thx for looking, though.
it's kinda hard to explain how these clips are in there, but if you get it just right you should push them in and pull out at the same time..hopefully these help, I meant to post them with the last post but got sidetracked lol
wow I can't believe it's this hard to find the correct BOD for this panel...I might just have to go take mine off for ya lol let me go check mine out I'll be right back sir
k so from what I could see, it looks like it almost "floats" on there, which leads me to believe that there is a single snap, so I pushed a card behind it to locate the snap and it's almost in the middle of the panel, btw the actual part name for this is the mirror mount cover, to help your own research. what kind of snap though...hmm...if it was easy to pull off the tweeter-panel on the inside opposite of the mirror mount cover then it'd be easy to tell if it's fastened with a screw from the other side or not...
well I had my guy at honda pull up the proper BOD for this and he said it doesn't specify how many tabs but you should be able to just pry it out veeeeeeery carefully lol
I would almost bet 100 that it's a simple clip since it just floats, you should be safe monk, just be very careful bc I'm sure a dumb part like this is quite expensive lol maybe not, I don't wanna find out the hard way though

I was actually skimming through the DIYs to see if there's anything close to having those trims removed, but no dice. Hopefully someone else can help you out.
