What does that little exert prove? How much faster is the CRT around a track than a normal M3? Besides, the CRT is a lame attempt at making a lightweight m3 and is simply a marketing ploy by BMW to sell a limited amount of overpriced cars. Only 100lbs lighter, uses the heavier DCT gearbox, while still including a lot of pointless amenities that should not be included for a track inspired car.

200lbs is not marginal when you're talking about tracking a vehicle. But given that in this scenario, all of the added weight in the Si are things that make it perform better (engine, lsd, brakes), I would say that this is a pretty irrelevant matter.

my r18 is average 24.8 mpg.... after i shave off 20lbs of unsprung weight with my new wheels, my mpg jumps to 27.5 mpg

lighter is better, that is a fact, whether it gives you more acceleration, better gas mileage, better braking, it will only benefit your vehicle...

inno90's civic also average 25mpg, not all civics are getting 30mpg

if you visit the other forum, there is a thread about your mpg, many civic are hitting below average

I'm averaging 32 in my MT sedan, my GF is averaging 27 in her coupe AT.

Lol 24.8? You might wanna look into that. I averaged 26 on my last tank in my bolt on Si. And that was in the middle of the tuning process.

I agree, lighter is better.

hmm, I'm still waiting for rv6 header for r18 :) Hopefully it's more durable.

When I drive more aggressive, I get about 28.5 mpg. Normal drive average about 34mpg.
