quick question

what kind of switch am i looking for? i have one power and i want to switch between 2 lights and i dont need an off on the switch but if it has one it has one.

You want to switch between two lights? Headlights? Interior lighting? Not sure what you're talking about?

interior. theres a diy coming and im trying to keep it under wraps until i have it done

you could get something like this? I'm not sure where you are mounting it, or what you're trying to do exactly. A double switch would work to control two items.

i have one power coming in and i want to switch between either output A or output B but never both. does that clear it up a bit? i dont really wanna give it away lol

You'll need to splice the power wire to both sources if you're trying to control them independently. Then you'll also have to wire the grounds from whatever you're wiring to the ground. Hopefully this makes sense how a 2 switch would work. It would also allow you to have both on at the same time if you wanted, but you wouldn't HAVE to have them both on at the same time.
