Hey all,

I was looking to upgrade my factory unit (w/o Nav) in my 2014 Civic Si sedan and the Pioneer 8000NEX is the unit I'm interested in. I want to keep all of my factory options (2 USB ports, HDMI port, Steering wheel controls, Bluetooth mic, and both cameras, rear and blind spot). I contacted Crutchfield and they said I would lose the ports and cameras as the connections are not the same on the unit to the OEM and there are no adapters available.

I was wondering if anyone on here installed a Pioneer unit in their Si and ran into the same issues. Maybe there's a workaround to getting these factory options to work? Help please!

You will lose all those options except for the steering wheel controls, and you need to buy a converter for the steering wheel controls to function with an aftermarket head unit. No one makes an aftermarket head unit that can communicate factory USB, HDMI, Bluetooth, cameras, etc. You will also lose the audio information on the i-MID screen too.

I have the unit. Youll lose all except steering wheels volume and skip/rewind. As for bluetooth functionality, according to Axxess theyre working on one,not sure when it will be released though. I have a 2012 w/o reverse cam so I had one put in and it looks great so far. For the mic you'll have to use the pioneer's. Looks like you will lose more than gain. I love the unit though especially Carplay

iDatalink will have a harness for all that you mentioned in a couple months. I'm waiting on the same thing. I currently have the Kenwood DNN991 installed.

I'd say the gain outweighs the loss but your experience could be different. I've installed the Appradio 4 into my civic and I love it. It's an almost seemless experience compared to what I had with the stock unit. I did lose the functionality of the stock usb but it doesn't bother me any because the Appradio 4 has two usb ports in the rear.
