the recessed red dots are what my eyes are drawn to... and getting stuff into those areas?

The 8th seemed to have "deeper" recessed dots and dirt would vaccum out pretty easy. I would think stuff that would get stuck on could be brushed off with some cleanning solution. What solution to use would the unknown for me.

how's cleaning the center seat material going to be... difficult?

It's definitely looking like it's going to be more work than the tan leather of my old TSX. Lint and hair from our four pets and my wifes long hair stick out like a sore thumb. Should just be regular vacuuming though and/or a lint roller. I go over the dash with 1Z cockpit Premium Cleaner or Meguiar's QID. The little holes where the red is can be cleaned with a qucik purge of air.

I treated the fabric with some 303 stuff and the leather with Leather Masters.

I remember that nasty G35.....man that would SUCK!!!
