Missed the part where you want these as your high beams. You don't want hids on your highs. They are not good to flip on/off. It takes a while for the bulbs to actually warm up. Flipping then will kill the ballasts and bulbs, and you'll already have reduced life on a 55w setup. You'll also have to pull the drl fuse as it won't work with hids on the highs.

Get halogens in the color you want as mentioned above. It'll still keep your drl, and your highs will work fine.

I have always run HIDs in my highs. Last ones lasted 15 months and were a cheap brand. Just thought these might be even better. I travel 160km on country roads to and from work. Not much on and off with the highs. They take the same amount of punishment as the fogs on and off...

I could never go back to Halogens. I hauled DRL fuse so that's not an issue. I run my lows and fogs every time I start the car. I got 18 months out of those. Also a cheapo brand.
