Mass Air Flow Sensor help

I got the code P0171 in my CarMd telling me to either replace or clean the Mass Air Flow sensor, problem is, it's in a tight spot on the 2012 Honda civic, anybody have any experience with this?

P0171 is actually the code for fuel metering too lean. So it's possible that there is crap on the MAF wire but there could be other issues. To clean it just remove it from the upper air box cover by removing the two screws that secure it and the connector.

Have the dealership look at it... surely you're under warranty?
