Trust me. The meeting will be a complete waste of time. They will talk about the 'benefits' of working for them. Like owning a mansion, going to nice vacation spots, retiring early, driving nice cars, etc. But promises and end results are never the same.

If you do decide to start selling whatever it is, I'd like to be the 1st to say, "No thank you, I'm not interested"..... :D

Hahah it went well. Might do it, still researching. The Internet is VERY conflicted in this haha so now I'm goin beyond consumer blogs to make sure they hold their end of the bargain/verify product quality and origin. The way I figure it is if my mentor is doing business in a way I don't like, I can go out on my on and do my own thing. They don't have the authority to "fire me" I.e. terminate my contract. So i think we may give it a go

I have a couple friends that were in these pyramid scheme things.

One of them was selling knives and eventually quit because of how much of a joke the business structure is

I have another friend that is currently selling healthy energy drinks. I had one and it's not bad, but the pyramid scheme is the bad part. She tried to get me to go to a meeting for the thing, and pressured me a little bit until i finally (nicely) told her that I already have two jobs (truth) and i'm using my degree. That and i'm not interesting in a career in business (i'm an IT guy).

She then told me good luck and all but did mention that she's gonna be rich. Thank god it was over text messaging because i'm not sure I could hold a straight face. But I definitely wasn't going to crush my friend's dreams, she can learn for herself. You usually can't convince people participating in pyramid schemes that they are getting screwed. It's like they are in denial because it's blatantly obvious when you are paying someone above you a cut of your profits, when the person above you didn't really earn a dime of your money.

Yup yup. Most of the money comes from getting more people under you and making them work Lmao
I agree!! But so is any business... 99% of you are working to make someone else rich I have to assume. My biggest thing is you can enter in without cost, of course you don't see a pay until they are paid back, we will see what happens. Ill either post up a horror story or a lot of pics of mods I bought with the money I made!! Haha

Sort of. Don't they make the pitch that you are your own business owner? Normal business owners don't have to pay their competitors a cut of their own profit.

It's deffinitly not for everyone, and if you are tryin to push people to try it they won't succeed therefore neither will you. Stick to what you know, for me I've always had little businesses even when I was a kid! And most of my jobs have been in sales.

Yup, that's exactly it. My friends who are a part of Market America claim they "own" their own business. It's the other way around... Market America owns them. They've been doing it for 3+ years now and have nothing to show for it, but still say they're going to be "rich."

That's really unfortunate.. Like I said guys we are trying it out because my gf does have a lot of time at home to be productive, if we don't see a reasonable cash flow inside a few months we would just cut our losses. Thanks for all the feedback though !
