I forgot to do a DIY,, but once you take off the panel you have to cut off the tabs that fuse the door card and the door panel together. Here are a few reference pics. I could probably walk you through it if you want.

Would you happen to have a picture of the entire panel so we can see how many places to cut?
I'm thinking hot glue would do nicely to reattach.
Did you use a fabric glue spray before applying new fabric?

Np. I could highlight it in Photoshop on Monday if I remember. But it's all the pints where you see those nibs. Probably slightly different on the sedan.
When yo go to put it all back together some people use epoxy. I used 3/4" lathe screws so I can take it apart again if I need to. Just put them in by hand if you use screws so you don't go through the front side.
I did not glue to the front face. I actually added some cotton batting from a fabric store to add some cushion to the front and pulled the edge right and glued the back side down with Aleenes Fabric glue

If you do decide to glue it pauly, go with something with a higher melting point just in cause it gets hot in the car, not sure what the weather is like in Cananda

Attached are the points that will need to be cut (RED) and the screws that will need to be removed (BLUE). I think this is all of them. This is off a 2012 EX Coupe so it may vary slightly model to model.

It looks like the guy does good work. I like the carbon fiber trim ring. Honestly the bride fabric doesn't do anything for me. I'd be interested to see how it would look done up in the red fabric that comes in the center section of the 2014 seats though. This sort of thing was a very popular modification on the 5th and 6th gen civics, especially to get the type-R look.

I agree about the Bride fabric. It just seems too common for me and I don't like the advertisement thing of having a name plastered all over like that. It's not ugly, it's just I'd prefer to be original.

If it's anything like the 8thGens, then the panel your removing actually helps hold the top black panel you see in the pic. Almost a "structural" part of the entire door card.

Yes, this does provide rigidity to the entire door panel. However, it only provides support because each piece functions as a part of the larger whole. Those points are just how you connect all these pieces of plastic together. Almost as if you were welding the plastic into one piece. Im sure it was a lot cheaper for Honda to do it this way that using fasteners at these points.
Its not bad Paully, it goes quick as long as you have a sharp blade. Just remember to cut off as little as possible; you will see when you start cutting. There is actually a post in the center that has a cap that is the weld, like a mushroom. If you cut just the top off you leave lots of room for the screw so you can reattach them firmly. Part of the reason that i added the fabric is that i have a habit of pushing on this panel to open the door and i did not want to scratch the plastic.
