Heat shield paint flaking off?

I have a 2014 Civic EX here. Was doing an oil change and noticed that the heat shield for the exhaust manifold (where the AF sensor sits) is flaking. I have a picture where it is on the top. Is this something I should be worried about? And I didn't paint the shield , did it come from the factory painted the same color?

I took my heat shields off most the time cause they all do this. Looks nasty when ur trying to maintain some kind of neatness under the hood.
