Factory amp location? (2012 Civic EX Sedan)

Hey all, upgrading my sound system for the first time ever. Just wondering where the factory amp is located, can't seem to find any resources for this online. I'm thinking it would be easiest if I just swapped out the amp with my new one and only replace the power cable/fuse.

Is this possible/recommended? This is the amp I bought this amp

Is it ok to put an aftermarket amp under the steering wheel? I'm afraid it might get too hot

Hm on second thought I looked up the model # and the mount it sits on probably won't fit my new amp http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/171457744104?item=171457744104&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 this is it with the mount

It's like the size of a computer power supply more or less. You do realize it's not like the stock amp has rca inputs or anything like the aftermarket amp correct? It has its own wire harness.

I mounted my amp under the dash in the same location as the factory. I have not had any issues with it getting too hot. Here is a link to my build post.
