I got a buddy of mine that has a F23A1 he bought really cheap and he want to know if it is worth putting into his 96 Hatch or should he save up to get a better motor mind you he is on a budget

I've seen a lot of people complain about lack of parts available for it. It's a single cam.... some have said bisimoto has some parts for the f series, but I'm not sure how much.

Thank you for relocating my post.
I have not heard any thing good about it. I told him to just save up and buy the The H22 from Hmotorsonline.com it's about 2999.00 for a complete change over. But he is on a tight budget but wants a fun car to play with. And he already has the F23A1 and he has the original D16Y7 in the car. So I am thinking of just telling him to sale both of them to put on the H22. Unless anyone thinks there is any potential out of a F23.

I'd sell both engines like you mentioned. You never know what you may find at a junkyard, ebay, craigslist.... I'd do a little digging.
