Not cool. My nerdy geology loving self really thought it was an earthquake on video. I am no happy.

I've only experienced a 4.4 and a 5.9. I was awake for the 4.4 and the 5.9 was well dispersed by the time it got to where I was but still arlarming. I can't imagine a 9.1. Strange things about earthquakes, you can hear them coming. Your reality caves in on itself because things are moving like waves and you realize the EARTH below your feet is unstable. THey can make you seasick.

closest I've been was like a 5.9 around 40 miles away.
Ground liquification. THIS is the dangerous stuff.

I remember seeing that before, ..it would freak me out
My 5.9 experience was a bit aways from the epicenter too.
