A few pics... this is one of the smaller 33" skeletons. I like to make them into "demons" because of their smaller size. They also make good "child" size corpses but that tends to really upset people so they get horns, teeth, and glowing eyes now. I had a family of zombies one year and a few people didn't like the little kid skeleton that was eating one of those crying baby dolls. This one was waiting for my jawset from Van Dykes taxidermy. I like to use eyes and jaws from animals, it adds a creep factor. This guy has not been painted or skinned yet. I just painted the joints, set LED eyes, and the jaws so far.

Skull a little closer....

just hanging out.... hahahaha.. I broke off his collarbone on his left side! oops!

Very cool/ I want to come to your house for Halloween.

Here are a few pics from 2009. Last year looked better, I try to add 4 new scenes each year.

Nice haunt! That's awesome. I used to love going to houses like that when I was trick or treating.

I'm going to start decorating this coming weekend. I'll post day & trick or treat night pics. We usually have 200-300 kids show up & go through A LOT of candy.

Awesome. I wish we got those sort of crowds!
Usually the weather is so cold. Last year it snowed on Halloween day around 3 in the afternoon but, by 6 it had stopped, dried out, and the temp actually came up to the 60's. It was the best night in like 5 years but I had stopped setting up cause i thought it was going to be awful. Jeez I got faked out.

I don't set up until Halloween day. I like to keep it all a big secret then get up real early... like 5am... and spend 12 hours setting up. Then it all goes down the next morning just as quick so no one get a look at it during the light.

We always get people coming by the next day to show other people, get pictures, and they ask what happened and wasnt there a display here? Im always like.. I dunno... things are strange on Halloween.

That's crazy about the snow. Where do you live? I usually setup the night before or the day of. Last year was funny. Neighbors all went to bed w/ nothing in my yard, and when they woke up and headed out for work the next morning it looked like a crime scene and grave yard at my house. It was cold last year and the year before it rained a little before trick or treat so some ppl stayed home. We've lived in this house for 7 years and my decor keeps increasing. Last year I had kids constantly coming around telling me my house was the best. There is a house about 2 blocks away that is just freaky. I'm all for a good scare but you don't want to keep the little kids away from your house. Pretty bloody and a lot of creepy goriness.

Ah yes, I'm stuck in the cold of upstate western NY. Display goes up in Syracuse NY.

I'm a terrible pumpkin carver! I do basic pumpkins though. I do like to shave off the orange skin on the outside. it makes the whole pumpkin glow. Not my pic but the only one that looks like what I mean. Shave off the skin instead of cutting a hole.

Since I never put anything up I do like to let the neighbors know if Im going to make it. I hang up "the sign" as an indication of the impending Samhain celebration.

Skull and bones plaque and a flicker flame lantern. Once more leaves fall you won't see the extension cord.

The sign used to say "No quarter given, none asked for" during the pirate phase.

Now it just says "And from there I could see was a way to Hell, even from the gates of Heaven." - John Bunyan "Pilgrims Progress"
