Chip/Opening in transmission

I just discovered this chip today, in what I believe is the transmission (I get kind of turned around when I'm upside down).
Can anyone help me out? I don't see any fluid leakage, and it's been driving fine. it's right where the black plate meets, so I feel it might be ok. I'm mostly wondering how big of a problem this is. Do I need to worry about sealing this up?

Whoa. That’s weird. I’d plug it up just in case with maybe some jb weld or something. Pics are loading really blurry on my end so I can’t really see where exactly the chip is. I can’t tell how severe it is.

I feel like I'm turned around... is that the flywheel cover?

No, its meant to be there. Same thing on my odyssey and accord. Drain hole.
