Brake smell?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
Anyone get a melted plastic smell after hard braking? I got this yesterday. I wouldn't say I was breaking real hard, but hard enough. It was 100mph - 30mph in about 400ft. Got in the car this morning and its driving normal. No vibrations or shaking. It's a '14 Civic Si Coupe if that matters. Not sure what it was. Maybe pad material, or coating on rotors...Idk. It has 6000 miles on it, so i'm sure everything is pretty much worn in......any ideas?

Hard breaking will cause this smell. 100mph - 30mph in 400 feet is pretty hard.

It's just the pads heating up.. Normal.

Why did you need to stop so quickly?

Ok. Thanks man. I was just being a jack ***...lol. My exit was coming up and instead of just going down to the next one, I decided at around 400 ft I was gonna get off.

Yeah....pretty normal stuff regarding the smell. After the smell comes the smoke and that's no bueno.
