police just said that he had dyed his hair red and he told them he was "the joker".

They also just said he had techno music setup on a delayed timer at his home. He supposedly set it to go off after he left his house. They're saying he wanted someone in the building to call the police about the noise while he was at the theater...so they'd show up and potentially be injured from the booby traps/bomb..or whatever is in the apt.

Even if someone was carrying and they were able to get off any shots, he was wearing a large amount of ballistic shields. From what I have read he basically had his whole body covered including a ballistic helmet. Going to be tough to aim at a very small area in the body that may be exposed when he has a high powered rifle. I carry with me everywhere I go, and I have played the scenario over and over in my head. In that situation, do you want to bring that attention to yourself, in my case, with my pregnant fiance who would have been sitting next to me?

Yea the situation has crossed my head as well, but I look at it this way if I am going out I wanna do it fighting and if I can distract him long enough to get a few people out I feel like I have done something good.... As for the armor a .45 still can still hurt, might not penetrate but still hopefully slow him down and the practice of "spray and pray" you might get a lucky shot... I had my 1911 with a spare clip on me last night...

Saw the Batman movie tonight. Def thought about the shooting....checked out the single emergency exit at the front of the theater and when exiting it was just one door everyone was shuffling out.
