Any dealers around you have a new Si?

I bought a 16 WRX a few months back and I'm not really all that thrilled with it. Steering is numb, engine noise isn't as fun as a VTEC equipped or the old EJs (even with an axleback on it, it's just blah). The 15 STI I had before I downgraded from did everything great and maybe that spoiled my feel for these cars - but the WRX just doesn't cut it for me.

Anyways to the point - no dealers in my area have any new Si vehicles around - and if its used its just as much as a new one was. Just curious if anyone has seen any new ones around, I've found some like 4 hours away in Miami - dealing with Miami dealerships is never a fun thing though.

I don't think Honda has even announced the new civics Si's (2016) yet so I'm pretty sure no dealer has em. IF you're looking for 2015's they are a little hard to come by where i'm at too.

freesamples is correct. The redesigned 2016 SI has not been released or announced yet. The base coupe and sedan have been announced, and you can purchase the 1.5l turbo sedan or 2 liter na engine in the sedan now. The coupes are not at dealers yet. All we have seen is a concept coupe si at this point.

Concept Si Coupe - all we've seen

The info I've been told is that it could be as late as march for the SI to show up at dealerships. Honda has yet to even provide a release date for press to see the new Si. The type R will be late 2016 as a 2017 model.

Keep checking cars.com for any new Si's in your area. Also your local dealer can bring the Si from Miami if you want them to.

Why was I tagged?

to be fair he liked the 15 sti. I'm honestly curious as to why the switch from sti to wrx happened

I'm also curious. Also why did he make the switch from Si (assuming that's what he owned before the Subies) to the STi then WRX...

its hard not to like a brand new STI :P ... Get his payments down ? and again with the SI ? It's the only reason i would buy an SI over these two.

Everyone has their own opinions. I test drove the '15 STi back in May 2014 when I was looking at trading in my '07 WRX. It was nice but for my daily driving needs it was not what I wanted. Stiffer suspension, big STi wing (not a fan of) and much lower MPG made me look at the '15 WRX (which I own now - 21,800 miles currently on her). I do not regret my decision with the WRX over the STi.

Definitely save a good bit per month (car payment/insurance) going from the STi to WRX.

I get that.

I used to sell cars for Mitsubishi, i've sold quite a few Evos that people ended up trading after a few months because of the harshness and the terrible mpg. Depending on your needs, the ''race car'' feel can get old quick on a daily.

Si to STI had some deployment money decided to treat myself. STI to WRX decided to take positive equity in STI to buy a house and finance a WRX. Thought it would be similar for daily use and it's not what I expected. I've had subies in the past in a 02 WRX wagon and a 11 WRX hatch, wife has a Foz. We love both brands. My chumpcar is an accord lol.

Personal preference is what it comes down to. In retrospect I should have kept my 13 Si but I never thought I'd be buying a house anytime soon so yea lol

The FA20Dit just isn't that exciting of an engine. Just like its NA counterpart. Makes great power and all just blah. Gearbox is like sifting through garbage too. Crazy how a slightly different engine, trans, diff, power steering, and struts can make such a difference

Found a few new ones around me, dealers had them hiding. Might go make a deal today. Probably just going to do a two year lease until it's time for a CTR.
