Aftermarket lip q's

I have an 06/07 STI CS2 lip on my '13 Si coupe. I have noticed at high speeds that the car will push or pull a little bit and when I correct the steering it pulls a little stronger in the opposite direction for a split second. I'm curious if this is due to the altered aerodynamics the lip introduces or if it is a completely different issue. I can go mostly straight for a while then it will go one way then a bit stronger and faster the other way once I attempt to straighten out then be back to normal again. Any ideas?

I can't see the lip doing that. What's your suspension setup?

Not the lip. Being a mech engineer I can guarentee that your steering has nothing to do with external air flow due to the lip.

That's what I thought. I knew it was a stretch. Currently all stock with the exception of winter tires. It didnt feel like ice or wind while I was driving. Any ideas?

Winter tires are a lot softer than normal tires... have you had winters before? Some suggest inflating them slightly higher to stiffen up the sidewalls. They definitely won't feel like your normal tires.

First winter tires, maybe they are softer and respond quicker to changes is steering?

The sidewall flexes a lot more & the tread itself is softer. You'll probably feeling them squirm. It'll go away slightly after you get like 500 miles or so on them, but they will remain soft. Add some additional air to them to see if it improves a bit.

I'll try that out. I'm at 1000 Km on them already so hopefully they'll settle soon and it wont be a different suspion problem causing the sway. Thanks for the help!

Do you think that CS2 lip would fit a 14 Si coupe?
