Your mechanic, like many ppl that have "Always" used a 10w30 range mix, are shy about that "0" part. and what that 0 does, is to get the oil flowing faster at cold start up...... after it starts getting warm the 20; 30; 40 part takes over the protection of the engine.Hi, I just changed my engine and transmission oil at 5000km, to Motul 8100 5w40 and gear 300 ls 75w90. My mechanic says its more protective. Because honda suggest 0w20, is there gonna be a problem?

And @Dennis Rockholt and I agree most with the Honda engineers who are building the new Type R.
________________haha yeah that type R, if it is in the states next year or this fall, I will be making that happen. Someway, somehow.

Yep... you'd be the second guy to get one! lol... just kidding. The first batch will probably be 5,000+ over full sticker. I could never do that.
... quick question @Dennis Rockholt: For the Civic, what kind of HID headlights do you like? Mine need replacing anyway (rock damage) so might as well make them nice.
