Bikes!!!! (MTB, Road, etc... just no motors)

Anyone running carbon headset spacers? Mine came with them and I think they are a reason for my front end creak I've been getting. And after my tumble, it got a bit worse and they are definitely a little looser, so I'm going to try a good set of aluminum ones. Any recs? I've seen some reviews...

Speaking of needing more protection.... Went over the bars today in a nice little technical section of rocks. Slower speed, but still bangged myself up pretty good, haha. Elbows soar as hell. Surpisingly, only bike damage was a scratch on the brake lever clamp.

I'm thinking I'll be getting some gear over the winter. Full face, and knee, leg protection. With this bike I'm really pushing these downhills at a way faster speed than ever. It just soaks everything up. I need better protection.

Yeah, I really should. There's been a few times I've had some close calls and thought to myself, my regular mt bike helmet wouldn't do a thing if I ate it at that moment. I'm sure that would help with the debris too.

We have a lot loose rocks and crap where I ride, I noticed that my front tire is always throwing stuff into my face. I took the idea and design of the mucky nuts front fork fender and made my own. Came out good I think, while not being an eye sore on the bike. Opinions on how it looks? It...

I wish I could say that. If it rains here, the trails are muddy for a week almost.

So we all wash and spit shine our bikes. What's everyone's products of choice and methods of getting all the mud off your expensive bikes?

Out riding today. Did a 3.3 mile downhill run that was insanely fun. After a rain storm so there was all kinda of mud and water to manual through, jump over, just all kinds of fun. Here she is at the bottom. Taking the easy trails home from here for a 8.8 mile ride.

So I gave her a thorough cleaning after my ride today. I can't get over the finish on this frame. Its perfect. And I just noticed all the decals are painted on and one hell of a clear on it. You get what you pay for in life I suppose. So stoked. Side note, yeti is putting the SRAM guide r...

I just got back from my night ride with my new crank brothers 5050 2s. Holy difference. Its crazy how they stick to my flat Nike shoes and just are so much more solid over the cheapy ones I got day 1 and have had on my other hardtail. Makes all the difference in pedaling. Pics tomorrow of the...

I went and bought a set of crank brother 5050s flat pedals. I want to get used to full suspension before I strap myself to the bike. Haha. Will post back after my test ride tonight.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm gonna prolly ride the rest of the season on flats to learn the bike characteristics, and next season go clipless setup.

What kind is on your bike? How's it held up? Seems the most common thing is excessive play in cheap ones..idk if that would bug me having the seat moving slightly when I'm climbing or something.
