Not sure if anyone else has discovered this menu....


Step 1
Press the "Menu" button on your steering wheel



Step 2
Press and hold the "Source" and "Menu" button consecutively for five seconds.


Step 3
look at the new Menu with other options

Yes, the CR-V supports the Rear-view Camera currently, and I'm guessing that it is completely possible to hook a camera up to the back of the i-MiD unit in the Civic.

I'm guessing there will be an update for the i-MiD unit eventually for our Civic's and a camera will be supported.

When you click "Camera" it displays this image:



which you can then click "Menu" to make the red dot at the bottom move from left to right then up the yellow lines, showing the distance, if a camera was hooked up.

in the other 9th gen forum, they already got a back up camera from the CR-V working with the i-MID in the civic. You gotta build your own harness to plug it into the i-MID, but it's pretty much plug-and-play. once the i-MID recognizes that a camera is plugged in and a signal is received, it switches to the camera

So do we need a special camera to plug into the back? And does it switch over when you go into Reverse?

But that costs way more, because you have to buy a navigation unit. This one connects directly to the i-MiD unit itself.
