So I had flipped my front plate on the coupe and was liking the position of where it was. Yesterday I was pulling into a driveway a little too fast and ended up tearing the front plate off. No damage was done to the car just the plate and bracket. I remember when taking the bumper off there was two cut outs that the metal tabs were placed over for mounting the plates. Has anyone tried to relocate them either to the left or right so it doesn't sit below the lip?
I may mess around this afternoon and give it a shot. If I plan on going moar low I will need this to out of the way. I am riding stock and this still happened.

Well, I just keep my front plate off all the way. But since I got my custom plate, I've been working on custom bracket to move it right and up a bit.

I love how it looks without the front plate but it is required here in VA :flame:. So looking at it I think it won't make a difference in the coupe since it will still be at the same height unless I trim the bottom of the plate.... I wonder how leagal that is?

I'd say as long as you don't cut into the numbers and have the stickers on, they'll probably leave you alone.
I've always cut my MC plate to make it smaller all the way around, then painted a black 1/4" boarder ATWA as well. Really makes it small.

on mine i just flipped the bracket and had to fabricate/cut and area off of the bottom to be able to use the bolts it came with.... but that thing isnt going any where with original bracket.
