For anyone who has installed lowering springs on their 2012 Civic Si coupe, did you have to add the rubber piece that was on the 8th gen Si for the springs on the back of the car? I saw a DIY where the person mentioned that he had to add that rubber piece off the 8th gen. Also if you ordered the H&R springs did the rubber piece come with your order? I did a search and found nothing on this, other then the one DIY.

Question for all you intelligent people: I'm either going to get H&R or Eibach Pro Kit. Will I need a camber kit and/or shocks with either spring set?

i know on 8thgen civics they recommend using camber kits for anything over 1" drop. i assume it would be similar with the 9thgen too. also allow time week or two for springs to settle before getting alignment.

HFP suspensions are about a .75" drop and Honda does not make a camber kit for that. So, I would suggest anything 1" and over will need a camber kit in back, and the more drop, the more the camber kit is needed. A 1" drop could get away with no camber kit probably, but you will see a little bit of increase tire wear.

You never need a camber kit for the front for tire wear. You may want a front camber kit to dial in 1 degree (stock is 0) for better performance.... and 1 degree will make a big difference in how hard the car can be pushed through a corner (because the car will lean onto the contact patch rather than off of it).

Which camber kit will do? They are crazy expensive! Is there really a difference between Eibach, Skunk, SPC, Buddy, etc...?
