Honda Urban SUV Teaser Photo Released

A single teaser image along with a very short statement is all we get about Honda's newUrban SUV Concept study that will receive its world premiere in January at the 2013 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit.

Here's what the Japanese automaker told us in the press blurb:
"The Urban SUV Concept, teased in a sketch released today, is a global concept model combining a sporty and dynamic SUV profile with a spacious, functional interior."

While the automaker may not be willing to divulge specific information about the prototype at this time, we remember that during a press event at the company's headquarters in Japan this September, Honda president Takanobu Ito said that the carmaker will launch a small SUV based on the next Fit/Jazz subcompact.
We believe that the Urban SUV Concept previews this model, which Honda has said will enter the market within two years after the launch of the new Fit/Jazz in 2013.

I love the look of the single window from the front to back. Wonder if they can actually deliver it. Still would not buy such a high center of gravity car but I like the shape.

The thing can have a gajillion hp and run on hopes and dreams and I still wouldn't buy it. That's how much I don't like Honda SUV's lol.

You know, I'm excited about this. I love my Si, but I live in snowbelt Minneapolis. I need a car that can handle my downtown lifestyle without taking out pedestrians or requiring three open meter spots to park, while still being able to handle the snow and get decent fuel economy.

The CR-V is bigger and more expensive than what I need, honestly, and the Fit doesn't offer AWD. I'd go Subaru but they're not really my style. This could be interesting if Honda plays their cards right.
