Will 3" FX-R fit in 2013 housing?

Just wondering if the 3 inch version of the FX-R will fit in the housing. I'm also looking to install either Orbit or gatling gun shrouds. Anyone have any experience retroing this combo, or anything involving the 3 inch version?
 
JAYBLS had them in a past vehicle
MrsJrotax101 has them in her civic

quite a few people have fx's in their 8th gens. I can't see them being a problem in the 9th.

I had FX projectors, not FX-R. I would imagine the FX-R is WAAAAAAY easier to retrofit than the OEM FX projectors were. However, I have no experience with them on the 9th gen. Also, I had ocular shrouds from TRS, but I think those would look terrible in the '12 or '13 headlights. Either the Gatling gun or orbit shrouds would look good, though.
 
the "R's" don't have a special mounting bracket or anything like the minis do. They're just like most oem projectors. Pic below

No, they are infinitely more retrofit friendly than the OEM FX projectors. I realize the Mini H1s are the absolute easiest projectors to retrofit, but the OEM FX is on the other end of the spectrum. There is so much more cutting and trimming involved on the projector itself. The bulk of the trimming you'd have to do on the FX is removed in the cast of the FX-R projector, if that makes sense. The FX-R comes ready to be retrofitted whereas the OEM FX projector is nowhere near ready to be retrofitted right out of the box.
 
I understand what you're saying. I had oem fx's on a past vehicle. I thought maybe you thought the R's were made to be super simple. My bad.

So these are the 3 inch lens version or the 2.5 inch version? Just asking bc for some reason, the 3 inch version don't fit in a lot of shrouds, and I want to find out the best combo between the 3-inch FX-R and shroud.
 
They list these shrouds to work on the 3" as well as the 2.5". Take your pick -
Apollo, Apollo 2.0, E46-R Ext, E55-R, Iris, G37-R, Orbit, Ocular, MC-R, Panamera
