In my 2013 civic LX my text message reader function just stopped working. Before it would work half the time. Now not at all. I have a Galaxy S 3 and I know the Honda website says it's not compatible, that being said, it worked for several months. I miss it!

I recently switched to a Galaxy S5 from an iPhone and the integration into the car's system is disappointing. The text function worked fine for a few days and now it doesn't work at all. I might get one text pop up a week but very intermittent at best. The only way to get it working again is to un-pair the phone and then re-pair it. This will make it work for a few days but it will eventually stop again.

When I had my iPhone it worked flawless with the text feature. I think I may need to switch back. I really liked that function.

Ive got an S3 as well and I'd say the text reader works about 50% of the time.

Yes it's frustrating, I agree.

  • As much as I don't want to leave Android... This might make me. My hate for iPhone is strong though. BUT I looooove the text message function
... Arggghh! How does it just stop working? I need to know, doesn't make any sense!

Ive also noticed that if I get sent more than 1 text simultaneously from the same person, the car's computer cant handle it. I'll press the playback button repeatedly and it won't respond or read any texts if I've been sent more than one
