I need some help maybe someone has this set up. I'm looking to lower my car on springs no more than 1.5"
With the lowering of the car I would like to put some "MB Wheels Battle Series" the smallest I found were 17x9.5 with a +15 offset. Will I have any issues with rubbing when dropped?
 
9.5 inch wide wheel with a 15 offset id say yes on rubbing maybe even without a drop. Thats too low of an offset
 
@Nix @Bulkybear what would you guys recommend to run with the car lowered an inch and a half, I want the flush look, nothing to crazy just nice and clean. Preferably the least amount of camber as possible. The car in the picture is the exact look I'm going for, but he is running 18in wheels I'm looking to run 17

Wheel and tire specs:
MB Battles in 18x9.5 +23
Tire size is an extremely stretched 215/35/18


If you really want that flush look without rubbing I would highly recommend you get a good set of coilovers. That way you can adjust the ride height perfectly. Drop springs are inexpensive in comparison but if you really want that close close fitment, coils are they way to go.

D2 coils are pretty popular. I have also heard good things about KSport coils. I like the KSport control pro setup as they come with camber plates at the top so you can dial in some neg camber to fit wheels if needed.

Rear camber arms will probably be a necessity depending on how low you go and what your preferences for neg camber are. If you want to run as little as possible you will need to get them.

Also if you want to run such a wide wheel.... are you willing to do fender work? Are you comfortable with running a stretched tire? Do you want 0 rubbing or is a little ok?
 
Rim wise, I want something like the MB battle wheels. A little con caved with a few spokes

@Nix I'm comfortable with stretched tires but nothing to crazy and I was just including that in this response lol My budget is about 1,000. I want to buy 17in wheels because my factory tires are still like new and I wont need new tires for awhile. I'm planning on buying the H&R Lowering Springs from procivic.com
I think I may just need to buy some wheels about 17x8 with about a +45 offset, any recommendations?

17x8 +45 won't be very flush. It's a great size but you may not get the look you want. You can get a very good looking wheel and definitely within your budget. Also a 17x8 is a great size for your stock tire. You can even bump up to a 225 width once they are worn out and get more grip if you wanted to.

The H&R spring is great. A very nice drop and everyone has said the ride is pretty good on the stock struts. The springs are about 10% stiffer than stock to help compensate for the drop.

Since you've got about $1000 to work with....

H&R springs: $225-ish +$50 shipping to 33133(Miami? close-ish) total: $275

That leaves you with $775 for wheels and you need to leave a little bit for getting the tires pulled off your old wheels and put onto your new ones.

Take a look at the XXR wheels. They are pretty budget friendly and have some great sizing options and looks. They are a bit on the heavy side and the fit&finish is not what you would get out of a Volk or CCW. That said, my wife has a set on her car and I think they are a decent wheel.

Maybe something like the xxr535 in 17x8.25 +35?

A set of 4 will run you $528 + about $70 in shipping to Miami which comes to just under $600 for wheels. Leaving you $175 of your budget to get lug nuts, hubcentric rings, and pay for mounting/balancing, tpms switchover, and any little bits you might need.

You need to run a x8 +30 - +40
A x9.5 +15 is out of the question unless you roll/pull or shave fenders and you won't even be low. A $1000 budget will not get you where you want to be, you're only settling due to impatience.
Buy good suspension first, coilovers preferably, then save up for wheels next.
If you just want some drop springs then do not go wide. You really need to know what you want your car's final look to be before trying to go out of your way with wide wheels and springs.
If you stick with springs, run a x8 +30 - +40 to ensure no issues.
I'd type more and go into more depth to help you understand what's actually going on here But I'm on my phone.
 
Thanks guys lol and @Nix I would like to avoid xxr wheels just because I know they're not the best and I've read forums where peoples wheels just literally fall apart. I'm looking into ASA wheels at the moment
 
I'm the same way..I drive low and slow but I've bent a VS-XX lip before driving over an avoidable manhole, but never had issues with my battles or varrstoens.
