Just out of curiosity have you guys witnessed the same with your gas mileage getting better the more the car brakes in. I'm noticing better millage. Not by much, but every one or two fill ups it goes up .1 I know not much its went up .4 since I bought it. . Cars only got 2790 Km's.

I've got 13k kms on mine as it seems pretty consistent. That being said, my 13 Si is slightly higher than my 12 was. Not by much. By about .5L/100kms on average.

To answer your question though, it's been pretty well the same as when I picked it up.

I was hoping this would be the case, but not for the EX. Im actually very disappointed in the mpg's I'm getting. 29-30 consistently. My LX, on the other hand, started under 30 off the lot and now hovers around 34.4. It has 6200 miles on it.

In the first thousand miles or so your rings should seat & gas mileage should increase. The bad thing is that winter gas additives are now being used. You may see a 1-3mpg increase come summer when the winter additives are out of production.

Automatic EX here, average between 33/36 around my area, 40/45 on the highway.......... Go figure........

I really started to see a difference at about 26,000kms on my 2012. Especially highway for some reason...that or it was just me going easier on her for some reason. I have since sold it but I will be sure to keep track on my 2013 (Only 4000 kms thus far however)

Yeah my last fill-up was 70% highway at 30.4mpg. My tank before that was just when we switched to winter blend gas, snow tires were on, and I moved to the city, which meant all I did was typical city driving... 24.6mpg. Blech. EX 1.8 MT here.

I just got a 2013 LX manual and Im getting 18.8mpg city/highway combined... I've only got 150kms on it, and we've got winter blend gas goin on here. But this still seems ridiculously low??

Should I expect this to improve a bunch as I put more miles on her? Or is my civic dinked

I havent revved it past 4.5k rpms because I'm trying to break it in properly. I'm starting to think I should just rip it around and maybe thatl seat the rings and improve my mileage. Any thoughts?

my 12 year old 3.5 v6 maxima with fatal engine issues got better MPG than this... not impressed

Yeah my millage is terrible right now. 12L/100km. That's V8 millage. I'm assuming cause it's winter. Cause I don't beat the car at all. Hopefully it'll change come spring/summer if not I'll be talking to honda.

12 is high. I've been right around 9 or so lately and I figured that was because of the cold. It is higher than normal with the colder weather over the past couple weeks.

Is the traffic slower due to the weather, are you letting it warm up past 30 sec., do you sit in traffic/drive throughs, are you playing with where the power points are while driving, do you speed from one light to the other??????????
All of these will drain your mileage. I'm not sitting in a cold spot but my winter mileage only drops about 3-5 from summer, low has been 30mpg - high 36 town ; 36 - 45 highway.

Yeah I know. It's all city driving plus letting my car warm up for 5-10 minutes before I drive it probably doesn't help. But getting in your car @ 5 am nice and toasty is nice. I have a automatic starter. Do you think I should call honda?

I warm the car up for at least 5-10 minutes in the morning and a few minutes before I get in it during the day. I don't beat it at all and it's all city. I know millage is crap in the winter I just thought that 380 km to a full tank of gas is terrible.

I'd call North Face for a down jacket........:D

If you know you want to pay for warming it up, fine but it probably isn't the fault of the car for the poor mileage.
