Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Nice!

...But what's that you got in the background? :excited:
Stupid blow up stand up paddle board. I need to get hard ones next year. I lent out one paddle last year and haven't got it back and the other paddle I have broke long ago so it's a kneeling paddle board.
I bought a new rear emblem for my car because the red was flaking and falling out of the one on my car. I haven't installed it yet; but, along the way, got the bright idea to try and paint the red on the new one with glow in the dark paint (don't ask me why). Needless to say, it didn't well (ended up slathering the whole thing with glow in the dark paint) and I now need to get another new emblem for the rear. :(
How much did the emblem cost? Seems to be around $50 CND for me. I'm way too cheap for that.

I bought it from the dealer a few years ago, was about $25USD at the time if I remember correctly.

well thats half my price so that sounds accurate.

i did a valve adjustment on my car yesterday. turned out to be a waste of time. i adjusted a couple just because i was in there but they were all pretty good. had to justify my special tool purchase.

You have a writeup for doing this on a J35? My Pilot is technically past due on the valve adjustment but because it likely is an unnecessary procedure, I haven't been pushing to do the work unless I'm in there for something else. I also haven't looked at what it would take to do on a K24 either.

My promotional Internet price was up in June so I just switched from 250mb to gigabit for cheaper.
Hopefully it gets faster. Lol.

Is that over WiFi? Did they supply you with a router that can do gigabit speeds? Or does the device you’re testing support gigabit speeds?

Wi-Fi.

I assume the device supports gigabit speeds. Guess Ill find out shortly when we move. The router and modem are behind our tv and I'm too lazy to move stuff and check.

^ This.

My modem (customer owned) supports 1Gbps speeds but my Google Home Mesh does not...

I mean... it's not bad but I think the service they provide is "up to" 1100Mbps

Edit: Damn! I didn't realize my upload increased. It was 20Mbps for a while then hovered close to 40Mbps and now it says on the website 'up to' 300Mbps.

Getting the keys to our house in 2.5 hours. Excited.

Kids and the in-law went down to the landlord's property yesterday. Barely on their side to go pick berries and plums. Landlord decided to talk to them through their camera and asked who they were. When they told her she then said we'll leave some for us. Not sure if she was being passive aggressive or a *****.
They had a strict rule of not using their beach access while we lived here which we never did. Glad to be moving.

So, some random bit of Stealth-related chaos happened this past week. I somehow stumbled across a ’96 Stealth spoiler semi-locally — and by “semi-local,” I mean “just close enough that the drive wouldn’t qualify as a full-on road trip, but far enough to question my life choices” (about 2.5–3 hours each way). Price was decent, so naturally, I bought it before my brain could intervene.

In the 3/S world, this beast is affectionately known as the super banana. I’ve never been head-over-heels for it — more like “mildly interested if it fell into my lap” — but it turns out the universe decided to just toss one at me after nearly 23yrs of ownership.

Now, these things are fairly rare. Mitsubishi/Chrysler only made 360 Stealths in 1996, and of those, only 57 were R/T Twin Turbos. That makes it the rarest production 3/S — basically the Pokémon card you never actually thought you’d find in a pack. And since 1996 was the final year of the Dodge Stealth, the super banana has become something of a golden relic… or at least a very oddly shaped one. There are probably more bananas out there than ’96 Stealths at this point, thanks to dealership leftovers and a handful of reproductions.

Functionally, it’s almost the same as the ’91–’95 Stealth spoiler, except it’s bigger in every dimension and has a little raised lip at the back — like it’s trying to be all grown up now. I’ve got pics of the new and old spoilers stacked, which has led to a running joke with friends about the Mega Banana. Don’t worry — this is not my long-term plan… probably:

Next steps, when I actually get to it, will be to disassemble and paint it. Another foray into my haphazard attempt at body work...
