the kid in me who grew up with TNG wants it, the rational adult who has to pay for it and find somewhere to put it is less convinced. I still have to figure out what to do with the Mercedes F1 car i finished

Realistically, I have no room to build nor display it. But I still want it.

How about the $1000 Death Star? Since it limits me to buying 5 sets I’m out.

Turn it 90 degrees and you'd see why it's garbage.
It's a slice and not a half sphere.

I'm not a Star Wars fan so my opinion is largely meaningless, but the aforementioned deficiency should render this "overpriced".

The reviews are pretty rough about quality and issues with that Star Wars set :sadwavey:

check the reviews on the lego site. They aren't too good honestly

I don't think I've ever read reviews associated with Lego sets; I have always just gotten the ones that I've liked, good or bad.

I went to my local Lego store recently and they had the new UCS Death Star set on display; the thing is huge. And, it looks like they're trying to bridge between a play set and a collectors set which is contrary to what I think of with UCS sets (but, they've been doing this for a long while so not much you can do). I just think it's neat and will go with most of my collection of Star Wars UCS sets; but, damn, that price tag and size is kind of a deal breaker for sure.
