8th and 9th gen grab rails the same?

I wanted to put the volvo sunglasses holder on my 9th but wasn't sure if the spacing was the same as the 8th gen. I check college hills and it looks to be different part numbers. Can someone with an 8th measure the holes for me?
 
Holes where the screws go?
 
It's not held by screwdrivers, but square metal tabs.

If they are the same, the total length on both should be around 8.25" and 2.5" tall.
 
This is a roof handle ? Or where ?
 
Pretty much. It's located above the driverside window.
 
Wouldn't mind seeing it if installed .....Not that I have an old Volvo sitting around ..... Just curious

I just figured out that Dar-Dar 's is a Volvo handle, and that's why it doesn't fold like the Civics' ........ Hence where it goes......... Knowing how it hooks up now, I'd probably not pull to hard on it if I did use it.
 
Actually the 1st time I've touched the handle was probably today when I took it off...
