…going on a $15k tour of Italy in September…
Nice! How long and what's the itinerary look like? If you don't mind me asking.

If you have time....try to learn a few phrases or common stuff. A little goes a long way......

My wife sent me a txt for a flight deal at the end of October. $349 round trip from JFK to Florence. Might have to talk about it once she is back from work tomorrow.

FIFTEEN GRA--
That's more than my Civic cost holy crap big roller sheeeeeeeeesh
You would be amazed at how much the prices go up when you have a travel agent that sets up all the trips, activities, transportation and food/restaurants. Some people don't mind paying for the "you plan it and I'll pay it" approach to travel.

Two week trip.

Premium class seating airfare for the flights for two. Better seats cost us extra.
Seattle - Newark - Venice
Rome - San Francisco - Seattle

Visiting Venice, Florence, Rome, Sorrento (day trips to Capri and Pompeii)
All hotels taken care of.
Transportation taken care of.
Many of the meals are taken care of.

Accounting for dog boarding in the cost ($2000 for two dogs for two weeks) additional meals, and tickets to various venues, expect to spend $15k. Actual trip was $11k (flights, hotel, transport, etc) additionals make it $15k.

I emailed my e tuner and got some good info.

First, I looked at a datalog from my last race. My injector duty was actually around 85% max. The hondata app isn't accurate. Realized this as I was writing the email to the tuner.

Asked about skunk 2 drop in cams with stock intake.
: said there's some gains but minimal without supporting mods. Said he's tuned a few. Probably not worth the money.

RDX injectors with stock intake.
: also said he's tuned some, said the spray pattern probably isn't ideal, also said there's no point n/a with stock intake since mine are maxing at 85%. Which I realized as well when I looked at the data log.

Asked about the 100% duty cycle on the injectors but also told him I realize hondata app wasn't accurate as I was writing it. He confirmed this.

Moral of the story, boost the engine. Or install an rbc manifold with RDX injectors and make minimal gains. My quest for cheap gains is failing. There's no magical cheap mod to gain a significant amount of power.

Next race is the 10th. Going to see what no lift shifting will gain. I did a launch and no lift shifts from 1st to 2nd on the road the other day and did a burn out the whole time.

$11k is not bad at all for 2 weeks. When we went last year in July, flight alone was $1,800 a person in the peasant seats but picked our own seat, which cost a little extra. The hotel in Tuscany and Amalfi Coast were $350ish a night(6 nights total). Can't remember the cost for the Rome hotel but it was more of a "national chain" feel where as the other two places where more boutique like.

did he have any experience with people running nitrous?
I didn't ask. I assume he has. I'm still considering nitrous. still cant find any answers on wet vs dry and if flashpro can control fuel for a dry kit. wouldnt mind a 50 shot.

I asked the seller of our new house if they wanted to leave their piano ( might have mentioned this ). They countered that that wanted $100. I said no thanks. Piano has a broken key and needs a tune. Figured I was doing them a favor.

Few weeks later they ask if they can have the stand up freezer in the mud room. I said sure.

Today they said we can have the piano. Lol.

Be careful running anything over a 50 shot on 93...
Key things with nitrous... Proper tuning, you should be running over 100 octane anything over a 50 shot to be safe, bottle pressure and always check your spark plugs for signs of detonation. Just trying to look out for you as it can be very addicting...
my understanding is flashpro has no real tuning specifically for nitrous, but tuners can adjust timing/fuel etc to compensate for nitrous. I've seen people say they used a window switch to be able to spray at certain rpms. So, they could set the tune up that you spray from 3000-6000rpm under full throttle etc. Axion would prob be able to help clear stuff up too

That adds $400 to my bill man. i think the wot switch would be ok in my application. my only concern would be launching at 3500 rpm being too low for nitrous to be activated but the rpms climb pretty quick since i only use 1/2 throttle with the launch control.
