My buddy said we don't have to because it's flexible. He just pushed up and screwed the lip. We didn't cut the middle. Thank you :wheee::dance1:

If he didnt heat gun or cut it, it has a chance to bend and either loosen the screws/ bend the bumper to the lip/ or hopefully bend the lip to the bumper. I would check on it every day or so for the first week to make sure its still secured. I had some people tell me theirs flew off after a few days on the highway going on 60.
