Above is a video of a 68-year-old bus monitor named Karen Klein being verbally harassed by a group of middle schoolers on their way home from Athena Middle School in Greece, New York. Throughout the ten minute video, you can hear the kids verbally berate the woman, calling her a *****, fatass, poor, ugly, and various other words of the like. At one point in the video, you can hear one of the kids yell, “You’re so ****** poor you fat ***,” in which Karen responds, “I try to live by some of these words, I try and it’s really hard,” referring to the words on her purse. Now, I don’t know about you, but that broke my ******* heart. There’s even a point in the video where one of the kids touches Karen’s arm in an attempt to make fun of her. I’m not sure why these kids would want to bully a senior citizen to tears, but I feel we should do something, or at least try.

She doesn't earn nearly enough ($15,506) to deal with some of the trash she is surrounded by. Lets give her something she will never forget, a vacation of a lifetime!

When I saw this video on the news, I got teary; not only because I was angry, but because it reminded me of my grandma who suffered three strokes last year and the left side of her body is paralyzed. It sickened me to see such behavior from these punks, but sometimes it makes me wonder if the parents are to blame as well? I'm glad that people are making donations, and I hope these bullies will get some type of diciplinary action.

heard this on one of my xm channels, made me soo mad that these punk spoiled kids could ever say such things to a person, more importantly an elderly woman SMH...thats someones grandmother their talking about!! Im sure they wouldn't like their grandmother being treated in such a way. Glad shes getting all that support

Working in the school system I can sadly say that none of this surprises me. I have been threatend, had numerous objects thrown at me (everything from scissors to shoes to chairs), and been called terrible things by children. Working with kids is NOTHING like it was when I was a kid! Disrespect seems to be the norm and some of the parents are just as bad. I had one parent threaten to beat me up this year in front of her kid... now that was an interesting parent/teacher interview...
