Anyone have this problem? Tighten Gas Cap Warning came on this morning and remains even after filling up the tank, taking cap on and off and shutting off the engine.
I did a search of the forum and did not find any mention of it.

Thanks

That thread that webby provided ^^^ should help you out.
It might just take 20-30 miles of driving for the warning to turn off.

If you have no mods, just drive it for a bit as mentioned above. If it doesn't go away in a day or so of driving, take it in to the dealership. They can inspect the cap and clear the code if there is a problem.

Welcome...... Seems to come up on here by new owners about ever 2-3 months..... It pretty much takes care of it self....... as everyone has mentioned.......... I like to click it about 4-5 times and haven't had any issue as yet, year old.

No modifications done at all.
Will drive and see if it goes away.
Thanks.

It won't go away immediately after the cap is tightened. The car will have to run its evap system self test and pass for the light to go out. The gas cap check is usually done some 20 minutes after shut down, depending on conditions. If the warning stays on suspect a faulty purge solenoid valve (PCS).
