Not a good start for the 10th gen... Would've thought the new turbo motors would be the issue but NOPE it's the new 2.0L K series in the LX trim

"Honda America has issued a stop-sale order affecting the 2016 Civic equipped with the base 2.0-liter engine. A recall will follow shortly.
The issue is said to be with the piston pin snap rings, though Honda has not released details on the exact problem yet. Dealers have to inspect unsold vehicles before they are sold, while the affected vehicles that are already in customers’ hands will be recalled and inspected.
“This approach to withhold further sales until those vehicles can be inspected was taken with a focus on our customers,” said Honda spokesman Chris Martin.
The issue does not affect vehicles equipped with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine.
Honda has sent preliminary information to the the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and intends to sent a formal notification to NHTSA on Friday, February 5. Once NHTSA acknowledges the notification, Honda will release full details on the issue.
